Certainty Kills Curiosity

Diane Gibbs interviews Paul Nylander

In this interview, recorded live on May 4, 2022, Diane digs deep into reasons behind the various career pivots I’ve made in the past—from physicist, to entrepreneur, marketer, photographer, and designer.

I start off with a bit of a whirlwind tour of my creative work, so if you were looking for an introduction to “Who is Paul Nylander,” this is it. Then we go deeper into the philosophy behind my move into designing books, and what I hope to be able to do in this capacity.

“The paradox of Paul Nylander is that I’m proudly enigmatic myself, but I’m driven to understand how the world works, and share that knowledge with others. And in that way, I’m a wobbly table of contradictions.”
