Crossing the Urban-Rural Divide
Allegiance to Winds and Waters is a book about a bicycle trip, about political and geographic divides, and about the author’s journey of coming to grips with family. The book suffered from trying to be too many things. It lacked clarity of purpose.
But an interesting concept, and an unusual way of talking about political divides. We explored a number of ideas, and what seemed to resonate was this idea of crossing the rural-urban divide. I had a great deal of fun with compositing images in Photoshop. However, in the end, the author decided to have a friend illustrate the cover.
